Workplace Charging Hardware + Software
A Charging System Designed Around the Working Day
One of the biggest advantages of workplace EV charging is time.
Many employee vehicles remain parked for six, seven or eight hours. That can make intelligent AC charging more practical than simply installing the highest-powered chargers available.
EN+ combines AC charging hardware, Evchargo Cloud and Dynamic Load Management to create a workplace system that can be expanded as demand increases.

The Right Charger Depends on How Long Your Customers Stay
A customer spending three hours at a golf club has very different charging requirements from a driver stopping briefly at a busy commercial location.
That's why destination charging shouldn't automatically mean installing the highest-powered charger available.
EN+ provides AC and DC charging options that allow the charging infrastructure to be designed around customer dwell time, vehicle numbers, available site power and the commercial objectives of the location.

1

EN+ AC Charging
7kW / 11kW / 22kW
Choose charging power according to vehicle dwell time, available electrical capacity and the requirements of the workplace. For employees parked throughout the working day, AC charging can provide a practical balance between charging performance and site power demand.
2

EN+ NANO Duo
Two Vehicles. One Charger
The EN+ NANO Duo is particularly suitable for workplace car parks because one unit provides two charging connections. It can deliver 2 × 11kW simultaneously or 1 × 22kW, making efficient use of workplace parking and charging infrastructure.
3

Daisy-Chain Power & Data
Designed for Multi-Charger Installations
For workplaces requiring multiple charging points, NANO Duo & Argo Pros' daisy-chain capability can simplify the distribution of power and data between chargers.
Daisy Chain Power & Data — Save Time and Money
This becomes increasingly valuable as a workplace expands from a small number of chargers to a larger charging network.
4

Evchargo Cloud
Manage Your Workplace Charging Remotely
Monitor charging stations, charger status, users and transactions through one cloud platform. Evchargo allows operators to remotely manage charging stations and view operational information without needing to physically inspect every charger.
5

RFID Management
Control Employee Access
Allocate and manage RFID cards / App access for authorised users.
This gives businesses a practical way of controlling who can access workplace charging while providing visibility over charging activity
Evchargo specifically provides RFID-card configuration and user-management functionality.

5

Billing
Free, Subsidised or Paid Charging
Decide how your business wants workplace charging to operate. Charging can be provided as an employee benefit or configured around a cost-recovery or paid-charging model.
Evchargo provides billing, financial and transaction-management functionality.
7

Data & Reporting
Understand How Your Chargers Are Being Used
View charging transactions and operational information rather than simply seeing workplace charging as an unexplained addition to the electricity bill.
Evchargo provides transaction information and operational reporting across charging stations.
8

Remote Management
One Platform for Multiple Chargers
Manage charging infrastructure through Evchargo Cloud whether your workplace has two chargers or a larger multi-charger installation.
For businesses operating multiple sites, a connected platform also provides a more scalable approach than managing each workplace independently.
Employee Access & Workplace EV Charging
You Decide How Workplace Charging Operates
There isn't one correct workplace EV charging policy.
Some businesses provide free charging as an employee benefit. Others want employees to contribute towards electricity costs. Some need company vehicles to charge without payment while employees pay for their own charging.
Your charging infrastructure should support your workplace policy — not dictate it.

Activate a Charge Session
AUTHORISE
Identify the User. Provide employees or other authorised users with access to the workplace charging network, including RFID where required.
RECORD
Track the Charging Session. Charging activity and transaction information are recorded through the connected management platform.
CONNECT
Plug In & Start Charging. The employee connects their vehicle and activates the charger using the configured access method.
MANAGE
Review Usage & Costs. Use Evchargo Cloud to review charging activity and understand how your workplace charging infrastructure is being used.

OneWorkplace.Different Users.

Company Fleet — charging for company-owned cars and operational vehicles.
Employees — provide staff charging as a benefit or apply your chosen charging policy.
Visitors — allow customers and authorised visitors to charge while on-site.
Other Users — where appropriate, make charging available to additional users under a paid charging arrangement.
Should Employees Charge for Free?
That's your decision.
A workplace may choose to provide EV charging as an employee benefit, recover the electricity cost or operate a paid charging service.
More Than a Power Socket
With a connected commercial charging system, you aren't restricted to simply installing an uncontrolled electrical socket in the car park.
Evchargo provides the user, transaction, billing and financial-management functionality required to give the business much greater control over how charging operates.
Dynamic Load Balancing for
Workplace EV Charging
More Employees Driving EVs Doesn't Have to Mean Uncontrolled Peak Demand
Consider a workplace where 20 employees arrive between 8:00am and 9:00am.
If they all connect their EVs when they arrive, the charging network can potentially create significant additional electrical demand at exactly the same time that the building itself is becoming active.
EN+ Dynamic Load Management allows the available electrical capacity to be managed across multiple EV chargers.
EN+ load balancing adjusts charging output according to the electrical infrastructure available, with the objective of maximising charging output or allowing more charge points to operate within limited power capacity while helping prevent overload and subsequent power trips.
HOW IT WORKS

1. MONITOR
The EN+ Load Balance Controller monitors the site's electrical consumption.
2. CALCULATE
The system determines how much capacity is currently available for EV charging.
3. DISTRIBUTE
Available charging capacity is distributed across connected chargers.
4. ADJUST
As building demand changes, the charging network can respond to the changing capacity available

EN+'s commercial solution monitors total site consumption in real time and manages charging power according to available capacity.

20 Cars Plugged In Doesn't Mean 20 Cars Need Maximum Power
An employee arriving at 8:30am and leaving at 5:30pm potentially has nine hours available for charging.
That creates an opportunity to manage when and how available power is distributed, rather than treating every vehicle as though it needs maximum charging power immediately.
Dynamic Load Balancing helps the charging network make more intelligent use of the electrical capacity available throughout the working day.
This is one of the strongest arguments for workplace AC charging, and I would make it visually prominent.

PLANNING FOR GROWTH
Don't Just Plan for the EVs in Your Car Park Today
A business may initially have only a handful of employees driving EVs.
That can change quickly.
A workplace charging project should therefore consider not only the number of chargers required today, but also where future chargers could be installed, how power will be distributed and how the charging network will be managed as demand grows.
EN+'s connected hardware, Dynamic Load Management and Evchargo Cloud provide a platform that can scale as workplace EV adoption increases.

Workplace EV Charging FAQs
Can I charge employees for using workplace EV chargers? Yes. Workplace EV charging can be configured around your company's charging policy. A business may choose to provide free charging, subsidise charging or recover some or all of the electricity cost. Evchargo includes transaction, billing and financial-management functionality, allowing charging activity to be managed through the backend platform.
Can company cars and employees use the same EV chargers? Yes. A workplace charging installation can support company vehicles, employees and other authorised users. Evchargo provides user and RFID-card management, allowing access to the charging infrastructure to be controlled. This can avoid the need to create completely separate charging infrastructure for every category of workplace user.
How many EV chargers does a workplace need? There isn't a fixed number. The appropriate number depends on how many employees drive EVs, how frequently they need to charge, how long vehicles remain parked, whether company vehicles also use the chargers and the electrical capacity available at the site. A workplace with long employee dwell times may be able to serve more vehicles through intelligently managed AC charging than a simple charger-to-EV calculation would suggest.
Can I see which employees are using the chargers? Evchargo provides user, RFID and transaction-management functionality, giving the charging operator visibility over authorised users and charging activity. The exact reporting available will depend on how the charging network and users are configured.
What power EV charger is best for a workplace? For many workplaces, AC charging is particularly suitable because employee vehicles remain parked for several hours. EN+ offers 7kW, 11kW and 22kW AC charging options. The appropriate charging power should be based on vehicle dwell time, available site capacity, number of charging points and the vehicles being charged. The highest-powered charger isn't automatically the best option. In a large workplace car park, providing more intelligently managed charging connections may be more useful than concentrating the available electrical capacity into a small number of high-powered chargers.
Can visitors use our workplace EV chargers? Yes. Workplace chargers can be configured to support visitors as well as employees and company vehicles. The appropriate access and billing arrangement can be selected according to whether visitor charging will be complimentary, restricted or provided as a paid service.
Do workplace EV chargers need Dynamic Load Balancing? Not every installation will require it, but Dynamic Load Balancing becomes particularly useful where multiple chargers are being installed or the building has limited spare electrical capacity. The system allows EV charging demand to be managed against the power available to the site rather than allowing every charger to draw maximum power simultaneously. That can become increasingly important as the number of workplace EVs grows.
Tax Relief for Workplace EV Charging
Investing in workplace charging? Tax relief may be available.
